From the new Membership Chairperson, Kerry Pittenger
Hello, everyone, and welcome to a new year at the Haddon Field Club. I’m looking forward to the April opening, playing outside in the fresh air, and seeing fellow club members again. We have some exciting plans for this year and membership is high on the list of priorities. We’ll have a new complete member list to you shortly. We already have a few new members for 2010 and we’re looking to add to that. So, if you have any questions or ideas regarding membership, please feel free to contact me.
This is your club and with your help we can make it what you want it to be. The club is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization and we encourage you to get involved with the many activities we have planned. We need your participation and support to keep this club the little gem we love so much. Don’t rely on everyone else to do all the work. It’s a great way to meet people whether your interest is tennis, social events, house and grounds, gardening, etc. Just contact a committee chairperson, team captain, or board member. If you want to help, we’ll find a place for you.
The following types of memberships are available at the Haddon Field Club. All prices include tax.
Active (single) Initiation $535.00 Dues $353.10
Family Initiation $749.00 Dues $518.95
Junior Initiation $0.00 Dues $96.30
Contributing: $40.00 per person
Contributing Membership is a non-playing membership provided for members who are injured or because of circumstances beyond their control prevent them from being active for a period of time, but wish to remain on the membership list. Simply inform the treasurer (Jane Elkis Berkowitz) and paying the dues for that year may reactivate membership.
PLEASE let Kerry Pittenger know of any change in address, telephone number, name, email, etc. This is the only way the membership list can be kept up to date.
Sponsorship:
Members should only sponsor a candidate for membership with whom they are personally acquainted. Please do not submit more than three applications per year. Also, as the sponsor, it is your responsibility to help the new member feel welcome and become acclimated with the club, it’s rules, and, most importantly, other members.
